Part I A few of you know this about me: I attribute a very large part of my success and amazing things that have happened to me over the past 2 years to my participation in The Landmark Forum www.LandmarkEducation.com I am currently in an advanced Landmark class called ILP: Introduction Leaders Program and it is just absolutely phenomenal. It's just been one breakthrough after another. The weekend before last I had to go to Atlanta for my class and I had a couple of really big insights that I wanted to share with you that may offer some help to you on your ventures. One of the big topics of the weekend was about 'being cause in the matter'. All of us are up to big things in life... and not just in our businesses but in probably every area! Sometimes we might ask, "Why am I not where I want to be yet?" .. or maybe you hear yourself say, "Why am I not the weight I want to be?" or "How come I'm not making the money I want?" or "Why isn't my relationship going the way I want?"... and there may just be areas in life that you are just plain ol' stuck or even resigned to. I know I'm not going to be able to do the conversation in Atlanta justice but the point was about how we can be/do/have whatever we want when we are cause in the matter. Sounds simple enough but what does that really mean? We can't just simply make a declaration and say, "I want __________" and then just wait for it to show up (thinking that if it's supposed to be Source will make it show up) or think that our 'busy' work is bringing it to life. Now, I know we all know that... but I'm still just so in love with Michelle Casto's analogy of "Movement" vs. "Momentum". We can be busy as hell doing this and doing that but are you/me/we really creating forward movement and really living/stepping into the future we are desiring? Michelle said it's like being on a rocking horse vs. being on a real horse. On the rocking horse we're getting busy (sometimes even fast and furious) but we're not going anywhere. But on a real horse we are actually taking forward steps. Now, if we are being cause in the matter and being cause of taking forward steps and creating actual movement a whole new realm of possibilities begin to open up for us! When we really take a stand for being cause in our matter... really cause for moving forward... all the sudden all kinds of new pathways to our desires begin to reveal themselves to us. (I hope this is making sense.) A shift begins to happen.. and a change of state occurs... and even a new way of being now appears! So here's the real kicker. Where you're at right now (including the areas you're not happy with) you have been cause in the matter! This whole conversation really got me thinking! I haven't been being cause in the matter in several areas of my life. For example, my health and my business. I've really been on the rocking horse telling myself I'm on the real horse. Ha! So, I decided to put my big girl panties on and get on the friggen' horse! What does that look like? Read Part II - 100 Day Challenge
